Susan PiverThe Manchester Shambhala Meditation Group is pleased to host a reception for author Susan Piver on Wednesday, July 21st, from 6:00-6:45pm. Please join us for light refreshments and the opportunity to meet Ms. Piver before her talk and book signing at Northshire Bookstore, starting at 7:00pm.

Susan Piver will be presenting her new book The Wisdom of a Broken Heart: An Uncommon Guide to Healing, Insight, and Love. A spiritually deep, funny, and utterly practical guide to dealing with the trauma of relationship heartbreak, Wisdom of a Broken Heart draws on specific Buddhist teachings on how to make our hearts strong and pure. Including exercises and instruction designed to help readers cultivate peace, compassion, and equanimity, Piver helps us develop the qualities that are important to help heal our hearts.

Susan is the bestselling author of The Hard Questions: 100 Essential Questions to Ask Before You Say “I Do,” and the award-winning How Not to Be Afraid of Your Own Life. A graduate of the Buddhist seminary, she wrote the relationships column for body + soul magazine, is the meditation expert and contributor at drweil.com, and is a frequent guest on network television, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Today, and The Tyra Banks Show. She lives in Boston.

Please note that due to this special event, the Just Sit meditation hour normally scheduled for July 21 will not be held, but will resume on Wednesday, July 28, at 7:00pm.
