Through the practice of meditation, we can glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.
This introductory level weekend includes meditation training and practice, talks by a senior instructor, individual meetings, and group discussions. This is the first of 5 basic levels which provide a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation practice, emphasizing the development of genuineness, confidence, humor, and dignity within the complexity of daily life. The program runs Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 9am-4pm. Cost for the weekend is $100. Please register by contacting Wendy at 413-464-1804.

Shambhala Day
Shambhala Day is a time for us to express the wealth and richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through feasting, conviviality, and elegance. We will enliven our celebration with sitting, offerings, desserts, and an address by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
If you can attend, come having eaten dinner, but please consider bringing some dessert or finger food, or drink (sake, wine, or non-alcoholic) to share toward the end of the celebration. In addition, if you would like to offer entertainment (poetry, readings, songs, instrumental pieces, etc…), we will welcome these during the party. Attire and attitude for the party is uplifted and fun!
This is a wonderful time to celebrate the joy of our relationships, families, earth, sangha, and the inherent wakefulness in all of us. Come welcome in the Year of the Water Dragon!
