Mingyur Rinpoche's book has become the summer reading of many American Buddhists, and his recent signing at Northshire Bookstore attracted a large crowd. This course will explain the overall structure of The Joy of Living
to provoke direct questions from the audience. As such, reading the text is crucial to participating fully in the class. The ground, path, and fruition structure of the book will be examined with additional examples, and suggestions will be offered for how to go further with meditation and contemplation of the topics covered.
The course will be directed by Jason Newman, and the cost is $15. Jason promises to keep the discussion lively. As he commented, “Summer is a great time to have fun, and how better than by exploring the Joy of Living.” Classes begin at 7:00 p.m., and all are welcome.
