The Six Paramitas

The Manchester Shambhala Center is pleased to announce a six-week class on The Six Principles of Enlightened Living: The Six Paramitas. This course presents the six transcendent actions which are, in the Buddhist Mahayana tradition, most helpful in dealing with ourselves and bringing benefit to others.

The course instructor, Dr. Maggie Bernstein — a student of Chogyam Trungpa for better than 25 years — is currently the Shambhala Training Resident Director at Karme Choling in Barnet VT, and practiced therapy here in Manchester for about for over two decades.

The course will be held at the Shambhala Center on Bonnet Street on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm. The first class, on Tuesday, May 10, is free and open to the public; meditation instruction will be offered. Cost of the full course is $50.00.

For more information or to pre-register, call Martha Schoenemann at 802 325-3146.
