When Things Fall Apart, Developing Dignity in Difficult Times

The Manchester Shambhala Meditation Group invites you to an upcoming Public Talk entitled “When Things Fall Apart, Developing Dignity in Difficult Times”.

When our world starts to unravel, our first impulse may be to avoid the truth, blame others or strike out in anger. But we have other options. As each new chapter begins, we can acknowledge that our world is a work in progress. Once again, life is calling our bluff and waking us up. According to the Buddhist tradition, the spiritual journey is not so much about solidifying beliefs, but stepping beyond hope and fear, stepping into unknown territory and continually moving forward into the present moment.

The talk will be given by Roger Guest, a local author, therapist and meditation teacher and will take place at the Manchester Shambhala Meditation Center located at 130 Bonnet Street in Manchester on Tuesday, March 10th at 7 pm. A suggested donation is asked of $10 per participant. The public talk will be followed by a five-week book course starting on Tuesday, March 17th at 7 pm.
