Working with Emotions

The next course offered by the Manchester Shambhala Meditation Group will examine the experience of working with strong emotions on the spot. We will be drawing upon the range of possible ways of working with these emotions, as discussed by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Pema Chodron, and others. The course is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. It will be taught by Maggie Bernstein, a long-time student of Tibetan Buddhism and Shambhala Buddhism.

The first night of the course — Tuesday, August 1 — will be open to the public, at no charge. For those who decide to register, the course will run an additional six weeks, through Tuesday, September 12, at a cost of $50. Participants may also attend on a weekly basis (suggested donation $10 per class). Special financial arrangements can be made. Course is free to Sustaining Members.
